Ground Water Modelling for Hydrocarbon Contamination
Ground Water Modelling for Hydrocarbon Contamination
Seepages of hydrocarbon contaminants in liquid form into the groundwater systems of East Africa are a serious—although as yet, not widespread—problem. However, should they occur, they can have a catastrophic effect on humans, livestock and both the local and wider environment.
Eco Services has the capacity and capability to research any likely scenarios where there is a risk of hydrocarbon contamination. We are able to assess groundwater flow and transport models to evaluate the effectiveness of various remedial strategies that could reduce dissolved hydrocarbon contamination in aquifers. Our research and subsequent analysis are valuable tools that can be used by environmental managers in their search for solutions to any given hydrocarbon contamination situation.
